#79 REFLECTING ON EPHESUS

from MY GOSPEL @ Desmond R Singh · host Joe McCormick

The Body of Christ at Ephesus survived to be commended in Revelation 2:1-2. The other body churches Paul planted and ministered apostatized. When a man of God moves on or dies, the movement often stagnates, yet religion still flourishes. Traditions and man-made doctrines emerge — when present truth stagnates  — denominations form.  Devoid of "present truth," a church loses its life-force, that of the Holy Spirit.  An uncalled preacher CANNOT be led "into all truth." (John 16:13) The Body of Christ is a living organism. But without present truth, the Body of Christ is in grave danger of becoming an organization. It happened historically; it still happens today.  Brother Singh asserts, "An organism dies to be an organization!"
