8. How Your Environment May Be Making you Tox-Sick With Shannon Martin

from A Woman Worth Healing: An Autoimmune Healing Journey · host Thirmanda Zavala

Have you ever wondered if toxins, such as mold or heavy metals, could be the cause of the current state of your health? Or do you have unexplained health issues that none of your doctors can figure out? If so, listen to this episode to learn more! I have a special guest, Shannon Martin, on the show to talk about what it means to be Tox-Sick. Shannon is an Integrative Health Coach and Mineral Balancing Practitioner. Her interest in a holistic approach to health started when she realized that environmental factors were contributing to her gut health issues. Shortly after finishing her coaching certification, she and her family began to develop new symptoms due to toxic mold in their home. This experience deepened her knowledge on the importance of environment, detox and how nutrient deficiencies play a role in your ability to heal. Shannon now educates about toxins and how they impact other body systems. She coaches privately on how to safely detox toxic mold, heavy metals and chemicals through a holistic approach that includes replenishing nutritional deficiencies so that your body can heal. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
