Pantera: Part Two (1989-1994)
from Heavy Metal History: The Podcast · host Dustin K.
Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History. This weeks episode we pick back up with Part two of the history of the band Pantera. This episode is due to be released on an ominous day, the "deathiversary" of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot. Not as a means to talk about the loss we as the metal community suffered that day back in 2004, but to honor not only his memory, but his brother Vinnie who passed earlier this year. And most importantly to remember the accolades and achievements the band reached during their time. This episode goes into the years between 1989 and 1994 of the band where I talk about "Cowboys from Hell" and "Vulgar Display of Power" where the band is at their creative peak and they would change the face of metal as we know it. Part 3 will continue into the remainder of their discography. (EDITORS NOTE: Sorry Part 3 never came to fruition. It got lost in the shuffle years ago and feels too late to add to this)Thanks for listening and drink a Black Tooth Grin for Dime!R.I.P.
