#86 A WATCHMAN'S RESPONSIBILITY

Brother Singh did not seek to be a watchman.  God called him to this role. A pastor is a watchman. He needs to foresee the evil approaching and sound the appropriate alarm to warn the people. Our blood is required of him if he fails to perform his duty (Ezekiel 33:6).  God forbid that we grow weary of hearing "disaster sirens" delivered through God's ministry. As God judges the nations, He does not expect them to repent but rather His people to do so. The Lord will save those who respond; He will punish those who do not. Historically, God's children have been wayward. That has not changed through the generations.  "Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin." (Isaiah 30:1)
