Max Strom is a global speaker, trainer, and author- known for teaching breathing patterns and personal transformation worldwide. His method is known to help alleviate anxiety, PTSD, and sleep disorder. He has authored 2 books, A Life Worth Breathing, and There is No App for Happiness. Max has presented three TEDx events, and recently he presented at the World Government Summit in Dubai and the Inner Peace Conference in Amsterdam. In this Podcast Wanda speaks with Max about the importancy of breath and how our emotions and our breath are always related. They speak about our modern day symptoms of anxiety, panic attacks and depression and why it is so important to feel all of our feelings and especially the hard ones. They speak about integrating childhood wounds in order to live a happy and healthy life. Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
