#93 March 1994
from Heavy Metal History: The Podcast · host Dustin K.
Welcome to this weeks episode of Heavy Metal History. I take you through March of 1994, which is as eclectic as it is justifying groundbreaking. Pantera releases their highest selling album in their discography while GWAR fianlly makes their mark on the scene releasing a now legendary album in their discography. Meanwhile, the once glamorous kings of the L.A. hair metal scene, Motley Crue have been dethroned and left behind after Vince Neal leaves the band, showing that the metal scene and music has no place for their out dated style of music. New Death metal bands push the boundaries of the genre by incorporating various elements of symphonic and orchestral elements into the music and the band that birthed Pirate Metal puts out a valiant yet ultimately failed record here in 1994. Records I discussed: Obsessed - “The Church Within” Pungent Stench - Club Mondo Bizarre For Members Only Nailbomb - Point Blank Motley Crue - Self Titled Pantera - Far Beyond Driven Running Wild - Black Hand Inn Gutted - Bleed for us to Live GWAR - This Toilet Earth Bestial Warlust - Vengeance War till Death Tankard - Two Faced Please consider donating to the NEW podcast Patreon HERE Like us on FACEBOOK - TWITTER - INSTAGRAM Download us on iTunes Download us on Google PLAY NOW ON SPOTIFY!
