#97 Too much weight or unstable support?

Growth Instigators Hotline970.306.6432Too much weight or unstable support…Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every day of the week!  This is message #97 and I am Aaron Havens.One of the companies I help lead has made some significant and strategic moves recently.  Now I find myself a bit off center as I have two separate offices.  In my Growth Instigators office I have a desk that moves up and down… you know… I’m working on my beach body and I like to record these call and do my consulting calls while standing.  I don’t sit much during the day.My fancy desk gave me a code the other day:“Code E04”. It wouldn’t moveI had to look up what that meant.  E04 flashes when my desk has either too much weight or unstable support.  Amen to that?!!Does it feel like your desk would flash E04 today?  Too much weight.Unstable support.This is a easy solution.  All I need to do is take a few items off of my desk (which isn’t really true… it was rubbing against the wall and getting stuck) OR make sure the legs of my desk are even.  I pulled it back from the wall it was getting stuck on and now I’m back in business.  Up and down without an error code flashing at me. Henry Ford: "Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.”  I could spend all day frustrated about too much work on my desk, or unstable legs… or I could take 3 minutes to research the code, pull my desk back a half and inch and Rock’nRoll!What codes are flashing on your desk today?  Will you give that code a quick 3 minutes to resolve?  Will you let that code stress you out all day long, or will you break it down to small bite sizes and push that back resistance?Today… when a code starts flashing.  DON’T freak out.  Don’t ignore them.  You’ve got this!  What your doing is worth it.  Break it down to small little tasks and pretty soon your car will roll off of the assembly line ready to travels the roads of your day. Thanks for calling in today.  Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic.  At the sound of the beep:  Have you been ignoring codes flashing on your desk?  What do you think those code are?  How can you break down the “problem” to small tasks that will resolve the issue so you can move on to bigger and better things?https://growthinstigators.com/
