#99 | Angela Lee Pucci | Becoming a champion, mental health, and Fightstory

from Keep it Aloha · host Kamaka Dias

Angela Lee Pucci is a former MMA world champion from Vancouver, Canada. Raised in Mililani, Hawai’i, she is the youngest person to ever win a world title in MMA when she won the inaugural ONE Atomwieght World Championship at 19 years old and 9 months. During her reign she went undefeated at Atomweight successfully defending her belt five times before vacating the title when she retired from the sport in September 2023. She holds the record for longest-championship reign in ONE history at more than 7 years. Talent runs in her family because her younger brother Christian Lee is also an MMA world champion. They became the first sister-brother pair of mixed martial arts world champions. Since she has ended her fight in MMA, she is now turning her focus on her mental health nonprofit called Fight Story where their mission is to inspire, heal, and unite the world through the stories of fighters from all walks of life. In this episode we talk about how she started MMA, mental health, overcoming hard times, her non-profit, growing up in Hawai’i, Fight Story and so much more. Enjoy!
