A 9% average increase on taxi fares has come into effect

A 9% average increase on taxi fares came into effect yesterday, alongside an increase in booking fees from €2 to €3.  Although the increase was approved by the National Transport Authority, Uber Ireland has warned that the increase will harm the country’s night-time economy. We heard from Kieran Harte, General Manager of Uber Ireland.
