For S1E9 I spoke with Charles Burton. A former professor of political science at Brock University for 31 years, and now a senior fellow Macdonald-Laurier institute. He is a specialist in Canada - China relations, a former ambassador, and lived in China from 1978-81 whilst studying Chinese philosophy. He has witnessed and studied many changes to China over the years, from cultural, economic, and political.

We discuss recent and significant events and activities, changes taking place in China today, and compare with past events. Charles and I discuss the political and economic realities between Canada and China, its past, present, and future. The power structure and struggles in China. We also dive into various types of influences and intimidation from the China government abroad in Canada and on its citizens and institutions. All this and more!
