Summary
Screenwriting software such as Final Draft or Celtx can be costly, especially for up-and-coming filmmakers. Plus, from my experience, they're not as collaborative as I'd like them to be. As such, I dug and found a way to turn Google Docs into a screenwriting software! For FREE! Here is the link: https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/screenplay_formatter/351965757287. You just download the extension and BAM, Google Docs becomes your screenwriting software. It's slightly cumbersome I will admit because you have to manually punch in whether it's a scene heading, a character, dialogue, etc each time BUT it is free and WAY easier to collaborate in real time on with other writers, especially as we continue working from home during this pandemic. May this resource help you. Comment down below with any questions or thoughts that you may have. Hit me up on social media @PhilSvitek if it's easier. I'd love to hear from you.
