A Look To The Sixers Offseason (PST Show #314)

from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table

With the Philadelphia 76'ers season coming to an end sooner than we wanted, we now need to look to the offseason. As fans, we certainly want to see GM Elton Brand making decisions that will improve this team for next season. This week, we brought Roy Burton, host of The Broad Street Line on 106.5 FM, onto the show to discuss the next steps for the Sixers front office and how this team can improve during free agency and the draft. But first, we discussed the current leadership on the Phillies and whether or not that leadership has been defined yet this season. (2:35)From there we dove into the Eagles OTAs and whether or not we actually like OTAs. Also, we talked about which Eagles players we're most looking forward to following developmentally as Training Camp is only two months away. (10:20)The NFL has instituted some changes that we also touched on this week as well. (19:10)This week on the Highbrow Segment, we asked; why do professional sports teams hire failed head coaches as their new head coach? And aren't they just swimming in a pool of mediocrity? (23:40)Then on the Lowbrow Segment, we discuss our most extreme love-hate relationship that we have for any Philly sports player or coach in the last 20 years. (32:00)What we're throwing down on the Table is an awesome interview with Roy Burton The Broad Street Line on 106.5 FM about this Philadelphia 76'ers offseason. What can we expect from the front office as they look to reshape and also keep certain components of this roster as the 2019-2020 season is in our sights already. (40:05)
