A Model for Thanksgiving

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, it is important for believers to understand what we are celebrating. While Thanksgiving may look different in different households, ultimately, the point is to set aside a day to praise and thank God, from Whom all things are provided. 1 Chronicles 16 is a wonderful example of what a Thanksgiving celebration should look like for Christians, as we recognize God for Who He is and what He has done for us. Our praise should not just be FOR Him, but TO Him, and should overflow into a public testimony to others about our Great God. Unfortunately, this kind of thankfulness is sorely lacking in most churches and Christian's lives.
