A national sportswriter has a stat that won’t make Husker fans feel better about Jeff Sims and the outlook going forward for him

-CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli wrote yesterday about the challenge that Matt Rhule faces this year in his first season at Nebraska, and how most of it comes down to QB play---which we have all seen so far-Fornelli said he has a stat he follows himself, called the “Whoopsy Daisy Rate”—which tracks how often a QB puts the ball in danger. The stat is formulated taking the number of fumbles (both lost and retained), and interceptions…and divide by amount of PLAYS on the field for-The stat shows that Sims had the 2nd worst rate in the country while at Georgia Tech over a 3-year span.
