A Positive End

Morning Mantra: "Live without pretending. Love without depending. Listen without defending. Speak without offending."I call this mantra my "ending" reminder.  If I want my life to have less drama, hurt and miscommunication, I must "end" certain behaviors- or at least TRY to.My need to be someone that they want me to be.My need to depend on others for my happiness.My need to defend myself and my version of the story.My need to be right, even if what I say is hurtful.As I'm interacting with others I keep this in my mind.  It can be difficult at times- especially the defending one. It really helps, so I remind myself to END the need to defend and really HEAR them.  Then we can head towards understanding.Live.
