Abide in the Vine

Are you tired? Burned out? Do you need to rest deeply? Down in your soul? You're not alone. It's the American Way to work, work, work -- to think we need to pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps. And we bring this mentality into our spiritual lives. But Jesus wants to invite you into a different way, an invitation to cease your striving and to abide in Him like a branch abides in its connection to the main grapevine. It's not always easy: there's pruning, cutting, lifting by the Vinedresser. But in the end, it produces far more fruit for the blessing of others! In this teaching, we looked at how this applies to us individually and together as a church, including a special opportunity for our church to consider in the next season!
