  • Episode 20: Sex Redefined-Midlife Women's Take on the Meaning of Sex

    01/02/2024

In the premiere episode of Season 2, Karen dives into the intricate tapestry of human sexuality and intimacy. Starting with a foundational question: "What is sex?" To explore this, we've gathered candid excerpts from a compelling discussion with a group of middle-aged women, each bringing their unique life experiences to the table. Episode Highlights: Defining Sex: The conversation begins with an exploration of what sex means to different individuals, challenging the traditional notion that it's solely about penetration. The Spectrum of Intimacy: We hear powerful stories illustrating that sex can be a varied experience, from a deeply personal act of self-pleasure to a shared, intimate connection without the goal of orgasm. Beyond the Physical: The discussion shifts to consider sex as a state of being that fosters intimacy, not just with others, but also with oneself. Vulnerability and Desire: The concept of vulnerability surfaces as a common thread, with the emphasis on the freedom to pursue one's desires in a safe and comfortable environment, irrespective of the form it takes. Inclusivity in Pleasure: The episode touches upon diverse sexual expressions, including S&M, and emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and openness in discussions about sex. Sex and Regret: Reflecting on experiences of regrettable sex, our guests confront the reality that not all sexual experiences are positive, acknowledging the complexity of sexual encounters and the impact of choice. I invite you to join the conversation. What is your definition of sex? Share your thoughts, and we may feature them in upcoming episodes as we continue to unravel the mysteries and joys of sexual connection. Note to Listeners: This episode is a safe space for open dialogue. Embrace The Void

Welcome friends, to a podcast for a darker timeline. Maybe the darkest of all timelines. Definitely not one of the good timelines. Maybe it’s always been a dark timeline, maybe the Hadron collider screwed us over. Science may never know. What we do know is that we live in the void. The void, a place where a chittering mass of void crabs can infest a person suit and win the presidency. The void, a place where we're just clever enough to know that climate change is happening, but not quite clever enough to do anything about it. The void seems terrible and cruel, but it loves you, in its own ironic way.
