What this episode covers

This week, we started a worship series we’re calling Generation to Generation. This series will follow the family narratives from Abraham to Moses. We hope that in exploring the many generations of the family that is central to three of the world’s major religions, we will find grace for any intergenerational strife we might find ourselves in, remember that our faith holds more complex stories than we might think, and continue fostering the trust that God does not leave any generation to themselves. God is always faithful and at work in us. This week’s sermon explores the story of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis 18:1-15, and 21:1-7. In this story, Sarah laughs when a visitor prophesies that she will bear a child, though she is very old. Let’s listen in:
