Over 70 per cent of adult vapers believe banning fruity flavoured vapes would push people back to smoking.It comes as Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill is planning to introduce a ban on flavoured vapes aimed at children.According to a Red C Poll, one in three ex-smokers say they will return to smoking if fruity flavours are banned, with almost half saying they will buy these flavours abroad or online.Neither the HSE nor the Irish Cancer Society recommend vaping as an effective way of quitting smoking.Addiction Medicine Specialist, Dr. Garrett McGovern says this stance is not based on evidence, and Dr McGovern joined us on The Agenda this morning to talk to us some more about this.
