Advice for Athletes and Aspiring Broadcasters with Emma Tiedemann

In this episode, we’re talking about advice for athletes and broadcasters and what it takes to make it up the broadcasting booth. Today’s guest is Emma Tiedemann, Director of Broadcasting for the Portland Sea Dogs. Emma joined the Sea Dogs in March 2020, becoming just the fifth lead broadcaster in Sea Dogs history. She spent the previous two seasons as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations for the Lexington Legends, where she called back-to-back South Atlantic League Championships. In 2019, she was honored as the South Atlantic League Media Relations Director of the Year. During the off-season in Kentucky, she served as the voice of Morehead State University Women's Basketball on ESPN and radio. Emma continues to call basketball in the off-season for the University of New England and is a fill-in producer for the Maine Celtics (G-League). The Dallas, Texas native graduated from the University of Missouri in 2015 with a degree in Education and minor in History.
