Aflevering 41: De ontvoering van Aldo Moro

In het Italië van de jaren zeventig probeert politicus Aldo Moro een historische stap te zetten: een samenwerking tussen zijn christendemocraten en de communistische partij. Maar op de dag dat deze nieuwe regering wordt gepresenteerd, wordt Moro in Rome ontvoerd door de extreemlinkse Rode Brigades. Terwijl hij wekenlang gevangen wordt gehouden en wanhopige brieven schrijft aan zijn politieke bondgenoten, weigert de Italiaanse regering te onderhandelen. Na 55 dagen gevangenschap wordt Moro vermoord. Was dit een noodzakelijke harde lijn tegen terrorisme of werd Moro opgeofferd door de politiek die hij jarenlang had gediend?
