Då AI och mode kretsar mycket kring bilder har vi gjort ett fördjupat samtal kring foto. I skärningspunkten mellan AI och foto ställs en rad intressanta frågor kring autenticitet och curering på sin spets. I förlängningen avgörande utmaningar kring social hållbarhet.

Gäst är Fred Ritchin, professor och tidigare rektor för International Center of Photography ICP och tidigare bildredaktör på New York Times. Han kommer i höst ut med boken The Synthetic Eye, om AI och fotografi. Hans arbete handlar främst om dokumentärfotografi. I en polariserad värld med många konkurrerande sanningsanspråk har AI-bilder en mängd etiska implikationer.

Trots att steget till modefotografi kan te sig långt finns det tydliga paralleller. Vi ger en kort exposé över modefotografins utveckling och resonerar lite kring dagens utmaningar. Vem är framtidens curatorer/smakskapare? Kommer det en motreaktion mot det 'omöjliga modefotografiet'? Varför vet vi så lite om bilder? Vad får det för konsekvenser?

Programmet leds av Jenny Lantz, docent i företagsekonomi med inriktning på kulturekonomi vid Handelshögskolan i Stockholm. Bakom podden står också forskaren Tina Sendlhofer, Stockholm Environment Institute och modejournalisten Sofia Hedström de Leo.
