Así como vemos en la siguiente nota https://www.nueva-ciudad.com.ar/notas/201807/37934-los-ascensores-en-el-hospital-durand-son-trampas-mortales.html en Agosto de 2018 un paciente sufrió una fractura y dos médicos corrieron riesgo de caer desde un séptimo piso por ascensores en mal estado.  Sin embargo, esta problemática de salud pública no abarca solo al hospital ubicado en Parque Centenario sino que también, como nos cuenta https://tn.com.ar/sociedad/hospital-de-ninos-de-la-plata-se-corto-la-luz-mientras-operaban-un-bebe-y-tuvieron-que-alumbrar-con_866953   en el Hospital de niños de La Plata se quedaron sin luz en el medio de una cirugía y tuvieron que seguir operando con la linterna de sus celulares. El hospital está en muy malas condiciones y no tienen respuesta de las autoridades. Hay ratas, humedad, goteras y hasta chicos inmunodeprimidos que deberían estar aislados y están en contacto con el polvo de una obra en construcción.
