His calling was a threefold call.  Genesis 12:1-3 1. A calling to walk with God;  A calling for fellowship and friendship. Abraham was God's friend. He had a personal and good relationship with God. This year Build a relationship with God. Pray and study the word. Know God better for yourself. 2. A calling to Fulfill divine purpose: Every child of God has a divine purpose/calling for their life. Don't be so consumed with your earthly purpose and challenges that you forfeit your divine purpose. The key to achieving your divine purpose is obedience to God calling. Abraham's divine purpose linked us to God and through that lineage, Jesus Christ was born.  3. A calling to prosper; Genesis 12:2 KJV And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing: Abraham was one of the wealthiest men that ever lived, God blessed him richly  Abraham was a crazy giver When God asked for his son as a sacrifice he gave. Abraham's secret for receiving God's blessings in all things was obedience, whenever God gave him an instruction he obeyed.  Genesis 12:1 - 4 Genesis 22: 1 - 3
