America is Lost Episode Nine: Loss of Laughs

This episode is mostly unaltered from the original 1984 manuscript. The original title for this segment was "The Treasure Map or Loss of Laughs." Shortened to just the second part of the original title, the title is a bit of a spoiler. There were a couple of added lines to the text of this segment, and they were intended to give the reader a sense of how the characters in the story were truly lost. Instead of finding their way to the Chateau Du Congress, the descriptions added indicate they have accidentally gone somewhere else. It might have been an accident that Joe Biden became the president, but nobody will ever know for sure.
