Like roller coasters? Then Ohio is the state for you! Between Cedar Point in the north and Kings Island in the south, we have 30 different coasters to choose from, including some of the tallest, fastest, and longest in the world. In this episode, we’ll take you through our memories of these two world class amusement parks and in an attempt to finally settle which is Ohio’s best. Along the way, we’ll introduce you to “coaster therapy,” employ the phrase, “furnace of a dog,” and complain some more about the weather. They do not reflect the opinions of the Ohio Bubble Podcast. There are other roller coasters in Ohio besides the ones at the Cedat Fair parks but we wanted to focus on the big ones. At the time of recording, we were unaware of the 2021 accident on Top Thrill Dragster that left one guest severely injured and the ride indefinitely closed. Our hearts go out those affected and we have no intention of trivializing this sad turn of events. We’re using a new program for audio leveling so this episode may sound different (hopefully better.) We aren’t experts on everything. If you think we’re incorrect about something, let us know at https://www.instagram.com/the_ohio_bubble_podcast/

We can't say that thing, you know, the "Ohio cheer" because we got hate mail from the "UNI" that we used to be proud to have here. It is complementary, they sweat us though. The Global Mobility Project The Ohio State University Global mobility is a defining issue for the 21st century. Our project integrates the expertise of five faculty members - Vera Brunner-Sung, Jeffrey Cohen, Theodora Dragostinova, Yana Hashamova, and Robin Judd - working on global mobility from the perspectives of anthropology, history, literature, film/media studies, and filmmaking. Focusing on two main research questions, 'what does it mean to leave home' and 'how do communities accept newcomers,' we foster the exchange of ideas on campus, engage students in and outside the classroom, and forge connections with the wider community in Columbus and beyond.
