An another year before safety measures in place at Dunkineely

It could be an another year before long awaited safety measures are in place outside Dunkineely National School.The project may have to go to part 8 planning, resulting in a public consultation among other stages, resulting in further delays.The area has been subject to numerous near misses between vehicles and school children, due to some motorists breaking the red lights and speeding.The change in structure to a national route is the main factor for potentially more delays.In the interim, Gardai have been requested to continue to monitor the area.But Cathaoirleach of the Donegal MD, Sinn Fein Cllr Noel Jordan has expressed his deep dismay that it’s not moving at pace:
