Yesterday there was an assassination attempt on the former U.S. President Donald Trump. It was the first time a current or former U.S. president has been wounded from an assassination attempt in more than 40 years. There has been a lot of commentary about the attempt, what it means for the future of Trump’s campaign and the state of U.S. politics more broadly.
