Anne Sage on eating disorders and mental health

from Out of Line with Caroline Lee · host Caroline Lee

Anne Sage is an author, stylist and OG blogger under the alias ‘CitySage’.. She went to Stanford, worked as a consumer strategist in Manhattan, co-founded an online magazine in San Francisco, and wrote her first book, ‘Sage Living’ in LA. Anne and her husband, Ivan, live in LA with their two cats and two dogs. Anne also happens to be my business partner at our studio space, Light Lab, and is one of my dearest friends. She came over to my place where we recorded our chat on eating disorders [bulimia], anxiety, mental health, and so much more. Trigger warning: This conversation is not an easy one to have or listen to, but Anne’s courage to share her experience and her truth are especially important right now as we take a much-needed look at mental health, learning how to speak about our own needs, and learn how to support each other. Whatever your own personal truth, our hope is that this discussion will remind you that no matter how perfect and pretty an Instagram feed may look, we’re all fighting our own battles. One day at a time, may we truly unravel the aloneness that social media can amplify, and remember that we are all in this together.
