Our research brings together experts in education, childhood & youth studies with an aim to promote equality across family, educational, policy, legal and community settings. In this episode, a University of Leeds Engagement Officer and a Leeds City Council Communities Officer discuss their experiences of conducting research using participatory and creative methods. Both Camilla McCartney and Imogen Wilson completed the MA Childhood Studies in the School of Education at the University of Leeds. The research discussed in this podcast focuses on children and young people’s experiences of poverty, including food poverty, and advocates the inclusion of children and young people’s voices within research which affects them.
