Football season is upon us and anyone who has lived in the American South knows that football is inescapable. Some love that and some don't, but for sports journalist Emmalee Molay this is one of the most exciting times of the year. Molay - this episode's guest - loves to report on any and all sports.

On the episode, Molay talks about why she decided to become a sports journalist, the challenges she has faced in her career and what it's like to be a woman working in a male-dominated field. She shares stories of covering Alabama football and stories about covering high school sports at the Natchez Democrat in Mississippi. Host Allison also shares a bit about her time working as a photojournalist in North Carolina and Alabama.
