April 17, 2025 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

Thank you for joining me as we both count the Omer today AND have our daily Bible reading session! As promised, here is the link for a  downloadable devotional if you would like to count the Omer for yourself:  https://www.shoreshdavid.org/download/counting-the-omer-booklet/  Today we have a double dose of blessing as we learn about the connection  between the days of Passover, counting of the Omer, the 50 days later  that God gave us the Torah, and the day of Pentecost, the giving of the Holy Spirit to the first disciples 50 days after Jesus rose from the  grave!   In our proverbs reading today we will read the topics of:  The Words  That We Say. We will talk about the importance of how words start off as  thoughts in our minds, so we  once again need to be mindful about the  thoughts we are thinking before they start popping out of our mouths.
