April 18, 2025 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

Thank you for joining me as we both count the Omer today AND have our  daily Bible reading session! As promised, here is the link for a  downloadable devotional if you would like to count the Omer for  yourself:  https://www.shoreshdavid.org/download/counting-the-omer-booklet/  Today we have a double dose of blessing as we learn about the connection  between the days of Passover, counting of the Omer, the 50 days later that God gave us the Torah, and the day of Pentecost, the giving of the Holy Spirit to the first disciples 50 days after Jesus rose from the  grave!  In our proverbs reading today we will read the topics of: Fighting and  Hurting, Telling the Truth, and Being Rich and Poor. In our discussion  today we will tie in using our riches to show God HE is the most  important to us with the counting of the Omer, and some readings from  the Tree of Life Bible App, written by Daniah Greenburg, about First  Fruits Offering: How Declaration Multiplies the Value of Increase, and  how "First Fruits commemorates the first harvest of the season, the  Barley Harvest, and how it is FULFILLED in Jesus' resurrection as the  "firstfruits of life from the dead!" (Article written by Daniah Greenburg, Tree of Life Bible App) God is SOOO GOOD to tie in our daily reading with the season! For our daily application let us all be  encouraged to give abundantly, both to others and to God, to show that  we recognize that EVERYTHING good comes from God and belongs to HIM!
