Before we end, I have our final segment of the show, something I like to call, A Tale of Two Paragraphs. In this segment, I take the first and last paragraph from an article on substack or another similar source, and read them to you, to encourage you to go read the article yourself. Many people forget the power of the written word to move us, and how intriguing the middle of the story is. The less I read the better, but people often want to know how we got to endings more than the endings themselves, and maybe then you will go exploring the substack and read the paragraphs in between. This weeks article is from Love, the Airport substack, entitled “How to Get The Body Of a Greek God, and the Head of a Furious Lion!”Perhaps, like me and many of my top-half-lion, bottom-half-man centaur friends, you have been considering the potential health benefits of giving up alcohol. If so, may I present for your consideration the No Alcohol Challenge According to the Age: a simple, easy-to-remember hard-to-subsist-on diet of fruit, toast and half cups of things that will keep you roaring furiously through the desert non-stop from 25 to the grave. And it’s also a no alcohol challenge, I suppose, if you don’t drink any alcohol during it.A few paragraphs in between and an ending of:By the time you’re according to the age of 33 to 44, it might be worth popping on some sort of tiny bra. Just, you know, something with absolutely no discernible purpose, to chafe you under the massive arms. Ideally try to find one that matches the cargo shorts you’ve been charging through the desert in for the last eight years. No need to replace those, though. They’re fine. For more from John Finnemore visit: OutroWe hope you enjoyed our show everyone, thanks for tuning in, and until next time, I hate to be the Bearer of Bad News, so I won’t!Have a good day. Thanks for reading The Bear of Bad News!
