Architecture Students' Work Helps David City Secure Federal Grants

from University Communication & Marketing

Five years after University of Nebraska–Lincoln Community and Regional Planning students began developing a downtown revitalization plan with local partners, the resulting vision continues to shape redevelopment efforts in David City. VISUAL DESCRIPTION: We are in a small, rural town. A man leads two professors on a tour of the downtown area. Then we see footage from 2021 in which students explore the city, talk with residents, take photos and make notes. A man with the Southeast Nebraska Development Disctrict speaks to the camera. We see more of downtown David City. Inside a local museum, we see a large metal sign, sculptures, paintings, and antique car and other agricultural-themes items. The story ends with an aerial view of the town.
