from The Arkansas Weather Podcast
Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 23rd. Folks, step outside right now and you'll feel two completely different mornings depending on where you're. Northwest Arkansas is sitting at a crisp 52 degrees with a light northeast breeze. Drive southeast toward Little Rock and you're already at 60 degrees. That's an eight degree spread before most people finish their first cup of coffee. Northeast Arkansas splits the difference at 55 degrees. Barely a breath of wind up there. Here's the deal for tonight. Temperatures ease down into the upper 30s to low 40s across the state. Central Arkansas might see a stray shower sneak through, but honestly, most of us stay completely dry. Leave the umbrella in the car. Now tomorrow is where it gets fun. Northwest Arkansas climbs into the upper 50s. Central and Northeast Arkansas? You're pushing into the mid 60s. That's the kind of Saturday where you throw open the windows and pretend spring already arrived. Perfect for hitting up a trail or just sitting on the porch doing absolutely nothing. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. The warmth isn't going anywhere. Highs hold in the 60s through Monday with sunshine running the show. We're also gaining nearly three minutes of daylight. Sunset pushes past 5:18 this evening, so those after work walks just got a little longer. Air quality is moderate today, so if you're sensitive to that, you'll want to take it easy outside. One more thing. If you're enjoying these morning updates, share us with a friend. It really does help more Arkansas folks find us. Alright, bundle up for those chilly mornings but enjoy the warmth rolling in this afternoon. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
