Asking for Help

from Horse Hippie’s Morning Mantras · host Horse Hippie

Morning Mantra: "Asking for help isn’t giving up. It’s refusing to give up.”There are many reasons people are hesitant to ask for help. Many see it as a sign of weakness.  They are so used to being the helper that when they are the ones that need help it triggers their pride/ego and they think, "I'll just figure it out on my own rather than look weak."Others don't ask for help because they believe it looks like giving up.  Rather than be a "quitter", they double down on their effort. We must change the narrative and see that asking for help is actually one of the bravest things you can do.  It's a sign of strength rather than weakness. It shows you are willing to admit when you don't know something, or that you can't do it alone.Asking for help shows you are willing to learn something new, to rely on others occasionally, and to not face your problem alone.Asking (and receiving) help is not only good for you, it is the glue that binds us to others.  It balances relationships, sometimes you are the helper, other times you are the one being helped. It allows the one in need to be vulnerable, and those that help to be kind.#BeWillingToAskForHelp  #BeHappy #BeHorsey #BeHippie  #HorseHippie #HorseHippieBoutique #MorningMantra #InspirationalQuote
