John's guest today is Andree Funnell, who has spent over 20 years working as an HR and training manager in large corporate organisations. In 2002, she left full-time employment to start her own business consultancy, Aspiring Future Competence (AFC) who are based on the Essex/Hertfordshire border. AFC is a triple award-winning learning, development and coaching consultancy created to help others aspire to reach their full potential. Andree believes that core values and living authentically are the essence of an individual’s personality and behavioural traits. Andree works to support clients who are seeking to improve their self-confidence, self-belief and personal impact. Andree and John discuss how she helps her clients, her corporate experience, how she broke away and her successful career move into coaching.    KEY TAKEAWAYS Andree helps women to achieve their goals within their career by increasing their confidence and clarity. She helps them achieve things like equal pay or promotion if this is indeed what they want.  Having experienced high corporate stress and direct bullying in her job and then escaping it, Andree is perfectly placed to help women realise that they may be in a career that neither empowers or fulfils their needs and that maybe it is time to leave. By increasing our understanding of ourselves and others, our ‘Emotional Quotient’, we can perceive our own life requirements and fulfil them and also recognise others as well.    BEST MOMENTS ‘Many of these ladies that I’m working with have either been put down by a dogmatic boss or in an environment that’s toxic, which is exactly what happened to me.’ – Andree ‘Sometimes you felt that you very much didn’t have a voice. It was very much ego driven. In those seven years I had six different General Managers.’ – Andree ‘If you stop communicating, if you stop talking to each other, if you stop treating each other as human beings and respecting one another and sharing stuff, emotional things, you do grow apart.’ – Andree ‘It was sort of controlling your own outcomes to a degree but also living more purposefully in your space.’ – John ‘My father died not long after I left my job and so did my Uncle. I had two years of sheer hell but I wouldn’t have been able to cope with that whilst I was working seventy hours a week.’ - Andree   GUEST RESOURCES Book links:  www.behind-the-mask-book.com or on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=behind+the+mask+andree+funnell&crid=2DYRZIJS6G0TU&sprefix=behind+the+mask+an%2Caps%2C140&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_18 Free ebook - How to Stop Self Sabotaging Your Life –  www.afcconsultants.co.uk   VALUABLE RESOURCES To get in touch - email –  [email protected]  or book a complimentary call –  https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30min If people want to order a copy of the book then they can just pay postage of £4.95 (RRP £8.99) - www.johnkennycoaching.com/podcast-book-offer Want to be able to address the relationship issues in your life? - Why not book in for a complimentary call and we can discuss how you can get the new started with some new types of relationships - https://calendly.com/johnkennycoaching/30min The Relationship Guy Podcast - https://omny.fm/shows/the-relationship-guy           ABOUT THE HOST I am John Kenny, The Relationship Guy - Coaching people to experience healthy loving relationships.  Having spent a life choosing unhealthy relationships and self sabotaging my own success, I now coach people to live a life they choose.   CONTACT METHOD Facebook –  https://www.facebook.com/johnkennycoaching LinkedIn –  https://www.linkedin.com/in/john-kenny-coaching Insta –  https://www.instagram.com/johnkennycoaching/ Twitter –  https://www.twitter.com/johnkennycoach} YouTube -  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHTj9x6Tlo7lcIJITyx-tgQ Clubhouse - @relationshipguy Hosted on Acast. Brother Blaq1-" The Relationship Guy" Rob Gregg My podcast is about relationships and family. My goal is to help people make the right choice in mate selection. The only way we can grow as people is to look at our own lives and confront the truth. The saying is true, " the truth can set you free!! When we are totally free from the past, then and only then can we attract the right "purpose mate". Together with Nikhil Chinapa Nikhil Chinapa Together is a way of celebrating the relationship between you guys, the community that makes this show so special, and us, the team that puts the show together. Together, we/'re going to do amazing things. The FootPol Podcast Francesco Belcastro and Guy Burton The podcast that brings together football and politics. We'll be exploring the relationship between the two, both inside and outside the game. The podcast covers "Big Politics" like politicians, clubs, international and national federations and other organised groups and how they use or abuse the game to "Small, Everyday Politics" in the form of community-level clubs, fan associations and the way that football reflects the political challenges of our day to day lives. The FootPol Podcast is brought to you by co-hosts Drs Francesco Belcastro and Guy Burton. The Billy Madison Show Cristine Billy holds a Master’s Degree in Business from American International University and attended Mankato State in Minnesota, but don’t hold that against him. He is a collector of Star Wars memorabilia, autographs (seriously), and a self-admitted ”dork” (but in a cool way of course). Derek is Billy’s ”right hand man” and offers his opinion on many topics but he will honestly admit he’s ”not a political expert or expert on a lot of things” and ”never went to college” but neither did Bill Gates (ok Gates went, but dropped out) but so what? ”Nard” (also known as Nathan) is a former listener of the show that was given a job after Billy helped him find a girlfriend. The relationship with the girl didn’t last but Billy and the guys liked Nard’s ”wit” and offered him a chance to be on the show one day and he never left. Nard has won over 50 Gold Medals in The Special Olympics and supports causes that help place special needs individuals in appropriate jobs and careers, just as he has done.
