We go on to identify Clear's 4 Laws of Behavior Change and then Mark at...

On this episode of Let's Pause, Jeff and I explore James Clear's insightful release, "Atomic Habits". Lots of great nuggets in this one...when we couldn't get James in person, we figured doing a deep-dive on his book was the next best thing: 1) Learn why incremental change translates into major course corrections over time, 2) Stop setting goals and instead, cultivate a better system, and 3) Build an identity-based habit! We go on to identify Clear's 4 Laws of Behavior Change and then Mark attempts the impossible....to make Jeff embrace email (a new habit with a lot of resistance). With an atomic habit approach, we're going to make Jeff's habit cues obvious, his craving to look at email attractive, his email responses easy, and his reward for emptying out his inbox, SATISFYING....and we might even learn about habit stacking along the way!
