Oh, boy. This certainly sounds familiar to me. He asks Moses to intervene with God on his behalf. Moses does. God rids the land of the frogs. Pharaoh responds with a hardened heart. How many times have I attempted to bargain with God? “God, please get me out of this situation and I promise I will never do this again.” I have prayed those words. Now that I am older and in closer relationship with God, I realize God is in control and I need to respectfully live in a manner that honors Him. God is not my magic lamp. He loves me and wants what is best for me. I can only know what He wants for me as I spend time with Him daily. Have you found this to be true in your own personal walk? Ask God to give you spiritual eyes and ears to see and listen only to Him.
