Awaken Hope PM Edition with Autumn Canterbury on An Amazing Story of Strength

from Awaken Hope · host Kandiee Campbell

Autumn Canterbury is from Colorado. As a child her parents ran a buffalo ranch and horse ranches. Her father was a horse trainer while her Mother did just about everything horseback. She eventually moved to Albuquerque New Mexico where her parents worked at the racetracks tending the horses.  Sadly at 10 years old her mother was killed from a horse accident leaving her in a coma for 6 days and shutting her off life support on the 7th. Her life from there did an ultimate turn. Her father soon met a new woman, having disabled twins. Her step mother grew extremely abusive, leaving her to starvation, beating her daily, breaking every spirit she had as a child. She was left with little education and when in school she had to survive, thriving was not something she understood. At 14, her father sent her away with a cowboy to Texas. During this, the cowboy had another idea with her. She ran away to the cops to save herself, only ending up back with her Father. The abuse continued to get worse then at 15 she was placed in a homeless shelter. At 16, Autumn went to foster care and at 17 and found her way back to Colorado. There she tried to pursue her goal in the Navy only to be disappointed due to the lack of my education. She soon married a Cattle Rancher, and had three children. Her oldest being 1.lb 8 oz. She had to stay strong and overcome, becoming the best she could be. She learned how to be a wife, homemaker, mother, work cattle, build fences, drive heavy equipment, master stability and be everything she could without an education and little support. She was cut down daily by her uneducated background. Her husband never truly seem to care for me. It become a horrible emotional abuse and control, leading her to question her worth and wanting to take her own life. He used this against her placing her in rehab to recover, then sending divorce papers to rehab and taking her children away for 3 months. One min she had a ranch home to suddenly being homeless again.  Selling her car, getting a job, and paying rent for a rundown trailer, she stood up again and fought with every fiber in her body to get my children back! With an attorney and rent taking every paycheck, eating at the food bank but the help of one TRUE friend, she was able to stand!  Today Autumn has pursued her goals.  Going back to school to receive her education, working on joining the Army National Guard, bought a small ranch, wrote a book, creating an online mastermind set class, speaks where they ask her to speak, sell holistic products. She lives for her children, work with horses, and never quits! She uses the methods she has learned from living around the horses, the ranch, and farming to help people cultivate their pain and harvest there gifts. She has NEVER lost her faith in our Heavenly Father. He is my Silent Gift! Autumn Canterbury <[email protected]>

Understanding the ten commandments can be a good place to reflect on, as they were one of Israel's first introductions to learning how to relate to God and live in His way. Jesus also references the commandments in his sermon on the mount saying, “...whoever does them [the commandments] will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19) Looking forward to exploring these with you!
