Summary
Batoul* vokste opp i en strengt muslimsk familie. Faren hadde ekstreme holdninger, og hverdagen var tøff både for Batoul, moren og søstrene hennes. Alt forandret seg da pappa ble kristen! Moren og søstrene nektet å akseptere hans nye tro, mens Batoul ble nysgjerrig. Etterhvert kom hun til tro, og ble døpt som 16-åring. Da begynte vanskelighetene. Moren og søstrene våget ikke å forfølge faren, så det var Batoul som fikk gjennomgå. «Jeg betalte prisen både for min og pappas omvendelse», forklarer hun. Åpne Dørers partner Youssef kom i kontakt med Batoul, og hun ble tilknyttet en undergrunnsmenighet. I dag er hun en som hjelper andre kvinner som har opplevd avvisning, slik hun selv. Forholdet til familien er i bedring, og ene søsteren har begynt å delta på bønnesamlinger. «I all sorgen ser jeg Kristus i livet mitt», vitner Batoul. «Jeg vil følge Jesus, uansett hvor vanskelig livet er. Jeg blir hos Ham.» I programmet får du ellers høre Sveinung Hølmebakk synge «Han vil gå med deg.»
