Be Bold Go Gold for the Cancer Connection

from Fred LeFebvre and the Morning News

We are raising awareness to support those with childhood cancer and need the help of the community. Throughout the month of September we are asking area schools to host a Coins For Cancer Fundraiser in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. On Friday September 21, 2018, we are asking all the schools to BE BOLD, GO GOLD and wear gold in honor of every child fighting cancer. We are asking the schools to go one step further in creativity and decorate their classroom doors with gold in support of this month.Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio, Inc. is the only local nonprofit that has a hands-on program for children with cancer. The community’s participation will help to raise awareness of Childhood Cancer in our community and show support to those children who have been diagnosed. Every day 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. When a child has cancer – the whole family has cancer! Our youngest patient was 6 months old. Please feel free to highlight your student’s activities on our Cancer Connection of Northwest Ohio @ Facebook.com page. Please contact us with any questions you may have. Participation packets will be sent out in August for the 2018-2019 school year.
