As we age, we all become our parents. And that's not always a good thing.

When Juanyetta's boyfriend cheats on her with is on again off again girlfriend, instead of walking away, she chooses to compete for his attention. But when she wins the competition, she unwittingly and unknowingly takes on the role her mother played early in her own  marriage while Billy - Juanyetta's new husband - knowingly and purposely assume's his own father's role in the home.
