Bedcast 029 - sTs 012 / 2022-3 Recap

from sum/Thin/sumthin/Bedcast · host Darth Niemand

Episode 029 - 2022-2023 Recap: What I've been up to this last (almost) year. Lots of rambling and self-interrupted stories (and anecdotes) in this one. From jiu jitsu to starting my lifting journey, my outdoor activities, to me complaining about the changing of the seasons, it's all here, folks! Just kidding, but we do get a tad introspective at times while reflecting - just the nature of the beast, I guess. I talk recent comings and goings, and I spoil some future plans for upcoming episodes. Episode 030 - sTs 013 (Not a Friday the 13th Memorial Special??) or "Failure" coming soon. The council will take this request into congress, and come back with a decision. (aka I'll pick one, then do the other one after that) I forgot to mention this is a musical cultural anthropology class being offered to you at no cost (donations to the university help), and is worth 1 elective credit towards any major/minor program of your choosing. Not redeemable for any monetary exchange. All exams are open book, note, and internet. All classes are pass only. This is going to be on the test. Don't worry, cause it's in your notes, too (and my shownotes). No video (Spotify) this time because (Formerly Anchor) no longer lets me upload MKVs, and I don't want to record in mp4, so until that changes, check out youtube for the video of me moving the picture around a few times before nothing else happens Intro: @00:07 Fukkit, Dutchman - Flash Bang Outro: @59:14 George Strait - Where the Sidewalk Ends ("Pure Country" Soundtrack) GO FORTH, AND BE EXCELLENT SPREAD YOUR EXCELLENCE, AND BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMONDS If you can't be safe, then just be careful I LOVE YOU ALL. TODAY IS A BEAUTIFUL FUCKING DAY TO BE ALIVE. ANYWAYS: Check out my website: https://stsbedcast.com

Sum of All Parts Sum of All Parts tells extraordinary stories about the unseen influence that numbers have on the way we think, feel and behave. As a Man Thinketh by James Allen Loyal Books “A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts,” is one of the quotes from James Allen's classic self help books, As a Man Thinketh. Published in 1902, it provides many more such insightful concepts on the power of thought and its effect on a human being's personality and behavior. This volume is more of a literary essay than a complete book and its title is based on a Biblical proverb, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Taking this piece of ancient wisdom further, James Allen explores the far-reaching effects of the inner workings of a person's mind and motivation. He proposes that projecting one's own desires, goals and needs in the outer world can provide clues to a person's character.Thinking and the subconscious mind are assumed to be hidden from the outside world, and hence powerless to change the course of events or circumstances of one's life. However, in this book, Allen presents ideas that can harness this subterranean Coxon Fund, The by Henry James (1843 - 1916) LibriVox This novella explores the relationship between Frank Saltram, a charismatic speaker who is also a freeloader; Ruth Anvoy, a young American who visits her widowed aunt, Lady Coxon, an American who married a Brit; and George Gravener, a British intellectual with a future in politics who becomes engaged to Ms. Anvoy. The story revolves around the dispersal of The Coxon Fund, a sum of money left by Ms. Anvoy’s father with the stipulation that is be given to a great man to publish and pursue moral truth. (Summary by Dorlene Kaplan) Thresholds Jordan Kisner This is Thresholds, a series of interviews with writers and artists you love about the transformative experiences (surprises, crises, existential freakouts, u-turns, breakthroughs) that have shaped their work.
