1st hour is an all vinyl mix recorded to tape by Fashion Flesh, the solo-output moniker of Bay City, Michigan producer John Talaga, who creates and manipulates sounds using self-built analog electronics, preferring techniques such as tape manipulation and hard copy cut-ups over laptop gimmicks or synth plug-ins. Devices not built from one's own design are heavily modified beyond audible recognition or return. He has a number of excellent releases on forward thinking labels such as Unknown Precept, Hiroshima 45 Chernobyl 86 Windows 95, Jacktone & Fit Sound. 2nd hour is more vinyl oddities in a similar vein from the vaults of Rezident Kosmik.
