Blessed be the name of the Lord

The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; blameless and upright, fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity." Job 2:3 Dumb Things Christians Say: ‘God never gives you more than you can handle.’ Then to break the tension with awkward humor, ‘God has overestimated me this time.’ We’re going to worship this Sunday with the story of Job. It’s a tough one because, clearly Job and his wife were burdened with more than anyone could bear. Maybe you have been carrying that kind of burden, too. You don’t talk about it because ‘Everybody has their own stuff…’But you’re faltering. I need God to re-tell my story to me. All I know is my own perspective, but there must be more to the story. ‘Please, let there be some redeeming purpose to the hurt, the pain, the grief, and the shame…’ ‘Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfector of our faith!’ I LOVE Being Your Pastor!
