Step outside right now and you'll feel the bite immediately—temperatures are hovering in the teens. But the wind is the real story today. A cold front is sweeping through, triggering Blizzard warnings for Cascade County and the Rocky Mountain Front through this evening. Travel will be treacherous with whiteout conditions. As the sun sets. Snow showers continue statewide tonight. The heaviest stuff falls before midnight, dropping another inch or two in most valleys. The mountains could see locally higher amounts, overnight lows are brutal. Central Montana bottoms out at 1 degrees above zero. That's dangerously cold. Western Montana hits 16, while the east is slightly milder at 12. Wind chills will make it feel like minus 4 in Great Falls.
