Boat Fireworks Plan Changed in D.C. | Washington DC News
from Washington DC News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
If you’re planning to catch the Fourth of July fireworks in D.C. from your boat, think again—major water restrictions are in place. The Anacostia River between the Frederick Douglass and 11th Street Bridges is off-limits during the show, and a huge stretch of the Potomac from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge down to the 14th Street Bridge is “no wake” all weekend. Recreational boats are barred from the 14th Street Bridge up to the Key Bridge, except for Columbia Island Marina traffic. Saturday’s even tighter: commercial vessels banned after noon, and all boats blocked from 9 AM to 1 PM. The big safety zone kicks in Saturday at 6 PM until 1 AM Sunday. Plan ahead—your boat’s not gonna make the show. Support the show:Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
