The ensuing widespread panic and outrage—as well as one sad tragic death—long prevented the release of Ghostwatch, which only became available in the UK in 2002, and then again in 2011. Despite its unintended reception, Ghostwatch is a horror tour de force destined for classic status (even WITH the shoulder-padded t-shirt and enormous hair bow!)
